Nearly New Year ..Be Joyful.

The Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op 125 "Choral" is the last complete symphony to be composed Beethoven. Referred to as his choral or the the ninth, it's one of his best known works . It incorporates part of a work by Schiller .. the "Ode to Joy . [The late Herbert von Karajan rearranged this particular part and it became the European Union Anthem]
New Year , known as Sylvester in Germany, is a big celebration and throughout the country many performances of this work are given . Here you see some pictures of the Konzerthaus Berlin. This evening the Rundfunk -Sinfonieorchester Berlin were brilliant .
Guess who came home singing ?

No USA You Don't Rule The World !

I spotted the above magazine in a store this week and much as I am an admirer of Hilary Clinton , I saw red. Sadly this is the German edition so I'll translate and maybe you too will feel somewhat annoyed and disturbed .

Hilary Clinton . Who is the woman who will rule the world ?

Err sorry ,but since when did anyone other than American citizens have a right to vote for their president . This being said no president of that country rules any where other than there . OK several have tried and come close with their bully tactics - but for the media to print this is almost an admission to saying we accept . I don't . Do you ?

Simply the Best .

I've been in most countries and experienced lots of transport services yet, in the words of a certain song 'nothing compares' to the BVG , Berlin's fantastic network. The timetabling , punctuality , cleanliness, pricing, etc, etc are all brilliant . Then add the bonus of really friendly ,helpful ,not to mention interesting personnel . This photograph was taken yesterday. Due to lots of cycling I hadn't seen this driver for months . He greeted me like a long lost friend . Charm, service, it makes travelling fun . Indeed so fascinating are many of these drivers ,I've even written poetry . But that's another story .

All Fur No -----------

Yes we've all heard 'that' saying but today mine reads:-
'All fur no hat '
Just wasn't cold enough and besides which this little jacket which I wear when riding my bike doesn't match .The face of the lady on the poster looks very disapproving . Is she anti fur or ´wondering over the state of my attire ?
I wonder .

More Food For Thought And Action.

P is for pleasurable .
I is for intimate.
C is for cuddles
N is for nibbles.
I is for ideal.
C is for climax

Yes a picnic . A wonderful way to spend a day but sadly all too often reserved for the Summer Season. Be an all year person who creates their own sunshine and heatwave.
As you should all be aware the 22nd of December is Global Orgasm Day . The winter solstice and a perfect day to have an indoor picnic with your partner .
Turn off the phone , lock your doors and say 'no callers .' The lounge floor can be your picnic area .Ideal for a rug and a cloth , lots of cushions ! For the food ,well here the choice is endless . eg ) A variety of cheeses , cold cuts , smoked salmon , crusty bread ,olives, tomatoes. Then ice cream , chocolate , Champagne, red wine and this will ensure a day to remember . If you think that after a full day of 'games and celebration ' you may still be peckish then make sure you have a dish which you both enjoy ,ready in the fridge - [heat through.]
You'll have done your bit for world peace, welcomed the oh so gradual lengthening daylight and shared all of this ,not to mention more, with someone special ........
Beats Christmas dinner for me. Once again a question of GFGSGT.
Happy Solstice to you all .
ps ) No matter how oppressive regimes and dogma may be ,they can never beat this wonderful human experience. We have the most powerful force and wow does it have a feel good factor !

To Top It All.

As one who believes that all good things are worth waiting for here I go again .
The right hat for winter has at last been found. Made from blue fox it tones well with my skin colour , eyes, black clothes and most of all, my lovely fox fur coat.
Will keep you waiting though for a picture of that particular ensemble ! Sufficient to say it is the 'Dr Zhivago film set' look. Feels fabulous.

To All Women Everywhere & [Men Take Note]

Happy IVGLDSW Day !
Today is International Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman's Day, so please send this to someone you think fits this description. I have received it from a Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman! And remember this motto to live by: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Have a wonderful day

[I can assure you that I am going to have a wonderful evening]
Miss Vixen BVFL (wfm)

ps ) On this special day let me share a quote with you that's so apt for all IVGLDSW

"I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naive or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman."
Anais Nin

Vix Gets Her Fix .

Early last Saturday yours truly travelled to Leipzig for an action packed weekend.
From Comedy Cabaret
[two lots*],to Bach's Christmas Oratorio. Numerous street accordion musicians.
[These always have me dancing.] Add Saxon cuisine, more than a dash of red wine ,season with Christmas markets ...mind blowing .What a way to get a 'fix.'
To make it absolutely perfect a suite at the Radisson then ...
An impersonator** who had me in such hysterics I had to take the photo with my eyes shut. A very uncanny resemble to a certain British politician ! Can you say who ?

Satisfaction .

This weekend I played with a new toy . A wonderful turntable which transforms vinyl recordings into digital format . Help was needed as yours truly is anything but a fully fledged Geek or rather Geekette .

One piece which had me dancing round the room was the Rolling Stones with their 'No Satisfaction' What memories , what rhythm , what fun , what satisfaction ! Why so special ?
Years ago after a ghastly road traffic accident my abode for 4 months was the orthopaedic ward of a huge Northern hospital . On good weather days and what seemed an age, a special trip to the roof top was my treat . Walking again wasn't seen as much of an option but that piece of music was a daily motivator ensuring that not only did I eventually walk ,but run , play sport and yes, even row boats . That is SATISFACTION .
It's now safely on my pc , an external hard drive and of course there is still the precious record .

A No Win Situation .

Anyone who has ever taught small children will appreciate how the recent happening could have occurred . It was no insult on Gillian Gibbon's part. Indeed it's my belief that had she refused the use of this name , for sure one child ,[ he who was named such ]would have been upset and as like as not reported that 'Teacher had said the name was not right'. Result then ,religious fury and offence , teacher arrested and taken away . In other words , dammed if she did and dammed if she didn't .

This fanaticism is now getting way out of control . Any opportunity is taken to scream hatred.

As for the millions of moderate believers in this religion . They as usual are so remarkably silent . Those in UK are accepted and their faith catered for in our schools. Many abroad profit from massive financial aid , technical know how plus education . Where is Margaret Beckett ? Where is Gordon Brown ? Also silent whilst hoards behave like animals in for the kill .
Let those who wish to live in the middle ages do just that . Minus our assistance .

We are repeatedly told how peace is the core value of this faith. Yet with so many events such as this , brutal wars and women mutilated as a matter of course ,these seem to be hollow words .
Gillian Gibbons should be airlifted out straight away . This could be achieved with just a few simple words .." no more aid " .

Miss Vixen Calling , Miss Vixen Calling .

Here we go again everyone . The Winter Solstice will soon be with us
"So" you may ask, "what's so wonderful about the shortest day ?"
To which I answer :-
Let's celebrate this marker after which our days will gradually lengthen ..
Not to mention revel in yet another chance to participate in a glorious surfeit of sex !
Last year I posted on this . Ok , you may add it didn't work , we still have war . Fair comment but did everyone join in ? Sadly not .
Come on, do your bit . Your world needs you . Spread the good word .
Go to www.globalorgasm.org Read and consider joiníng the action .
Dare I say it, Solstice is coming .

Blake's Jerusalem -- Not in Mole Valley !

All who know me are aware that I’m a pacifist. War and combat are not my scene. However, living as I do in the real world, I’m aware that there is a long way to go until we reach a state of global peace . Until such time casualties are a part of daily life and deserve the best in the way of treatment and rehabilitation . Imagine my disgust there fore when on Saturday I read the following .

On 13th November at Leatherhead Sports Centre Swimming Pool a woman in her 30’s complained that the use of a lane by amputee service men from the nearby Rehabilitation Centre was too much for her as:-
a) they were unpleasant to look at for her and her children,
b) were being allowed the use of the pool free of charge.

Was this grotesque piece of female viciousness asked to remove herself ? No, the men in question were . What superficial standards have taken over in Britain !
If the complainant is so easily upset let me say to her .
Best you remain indoors for the rest of your life with silly magazines and DVD’s of glossy stars . Plus who knows, some may find you not so attractive . Finally never forget the following truth , that is , if you have intellect enough to comprehend it ..
‘ I felt sorry for my self because I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet ‘
Meanwhile I have emailed Leatherhead Sports Centre to express my dismay at their lack of support to those already demoralized . If you can take the time , please do like wise .
'llc@molevalley.gov.uk'
Once humanity is lost all is lost..

Footnote ..
Today I received a reply directing me to a full council statement on this issue .
In it they state the following :-
“as we live in a democracy that encourages freedom of speech, we cannot legislate against what particular individuals say “
Really ? I thought all defamatory remarks directed against the appearance of others were illegal . Or is that only for colour ? I think not . I have written back and will continue to do so until they actually admit being wrong . Please join me .

Snow Storms,Sand Storms, All Shook Up

The very first glass Snow Storm was made for the Great Exhibition in Paris . Containing a mini Eiffel Tower it set a trend for depicting famous landmarks within a glass, liquid filled ball. Wherever I go I keep my eyes open for such. 'Kitsch' maybe, but they satisfy the child within. Here are a few of mine. Sadly,a very special one broke.
There are more, but for Christmas display only. The tiny one plus tree as shown above ,I've allowed ...Sort of an Advent for Advent gesture.
If any readers know of places I can find similar to add to this little collection please let me know .My preference is for the spherical as opposed to the new plastic domed variety .

As Nature Intended .

Doesn't matter if you incline to the Creation or Darwinian theory etc, a human body is a human body be it male or female . A group in Sweden are challenging the authorities with the following argument :-
Why should only women be expected to cover their breasts in swimming halls etc .
Indeed they are insisting on equal rights to go topless, if they so wish . With most tabloids sporting a page three nude picture it is ridiculous to continue with present hypocrisy .
Living here, one can swim topless minus a scene . It is allowed at the public swimming baths on FKK nights and was permitted at the Freibad in summer .Now if it's ok for Berlin and Sweden is taking it seriously .. here goes with blogspot.
The small picture is from a German server .The other of yours truly in the Wannsee. Aphrodite eat your heart out ! Let's say 'I'm testing the waters' with this post.

With Apologies to Janácek

Early this week somebody sent me a synopsis of "The Cunning Little Vixen".
A brilliant story line ,which the composer Janácek transformed into an opera.[check this out with Google search]
Then I found the above shot taken some weeks ago ... Can you spot the little vixen ? Funny thing is I had considered this to be a 'bad hair' day photo ,but have since received even worse .Maybe after several Gluhwein I'll share the other horror with you .

My Favourite Street Sign

Here you see it. Sent to me today by the local authority responsible for such in UK.
It was almost akin to receiving a present. A special trip had been made just to take the photograph.[I've cropped it] For a fee they are willing to organize the making of a replica two line name plate . The original,it seems was lost and replaced 15 years ago.
This has brought a little magic to my Monday .

The Jazz Cook's Take Six Soup.

From time to time I receive very interesting recipes or tips . One of these came from a reader who is best known as the Jazz Cook . This guy, loves improvisation to produce offerings which are not only sumptuous but,I quote , ' blow your socks off '.
This is his basic "Take Six Soup."

4 Carrots peeled /roughly chopped .
2 med onions , peeled /roughly chopped.
piece of celeriac , peeled /roughly chopped.
2 or 3 cloves garlic . peeled /roughly chopped
1 to 2 inch piece of ginger . peeled /roughly chopped.
1/3 of a coconut chopped and with fine brown skin removed .
Coconut juice.

Seasoning :-
pepper / coriander dried or *fresh /
Optional extras .....
fresh cream / milk

Throw all the ingredients into a large pan . Add a pint of veg stock [homemade or a cube ] Bring to boil and simmer for about 30 minutes.Until all veg are soft .
Then carefully tip into blender and whizz the lot .* if using fresh coriander add now . I used the dried therefore added during cooking time. Depending on how thick you like your soup add fluid to adjust.
If you wish, return the lot to the pan and little cream or milk and swirl as you heat through .
Served with crusty bread it's delicious .The warmth of the ginger and richness of the coconut is heavenly . It blew more than my socks off.Try,you'll enjoy. No skills needed . Simply a love of tasty food and a healthy appetite
As Jazz Cook pointed out.. "anything goes , improvise ,incorporate."
eg) celeriac can be replaced with squash etc etc .

The X Factor.

"To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom."
Bertrand Russell

The above is so apt as at long last I've begun to apply this truth. What was my fear..my terror ? Answer:- Algebra .
Bullied as a child by a hideous teacher I was rendered 'brain dead' to something which is , to quote one I met 'magic'.A couple of examples found me later at my pc, where, eureka,a site dealing with tuition was found .This may all seem crazy but that particular ignorance imposed via fear has always troubled me. Already it's defused. The mere sight of something such as 3X-4 = 26,once enough to induce an asthma attack, is now a case of 'past history ,if not past perfect'

Miss Vixen's Reunification Day.

Just as Germany has a special day each year , so do I . The date of mine varies and this year fell on 2nd November when, after a sensational evening at Fechner Fur ,[see previous post] ,I was given back my two furs . These had been cleaned and kept in a dark cool room throughout the summer. They're so lovely to wear and serve to make winter a season to be enjoyed .

Fechner Fur Collection 2007

It was a fabulous evening and yes,I made a purchase.
What ? Ah wait and see.
The collage gives you some idea of the magic Herr Fechner creates with fur. This was his 150th fashion collection .A true artist, he and Frau Fechner(top left) make an impressive team. To fashion lovers out there, all I can say is," you would have loved it".

Naughty But Nice Nutrition.

Today I met up with a visitor to Berlin and we indulged in a German breakfast . For those not familiar with such, see the picture.[no wonder Germans are so well built.] Such a feast sets you up for the day . Next, off to Potsdam to collect my new lingerie. Beautiful, yet still one item to wait for.
Once home I prepared and ate two delicious Pomegranates. For a snack that's different try Persephone's fruit. Refreshing and nutritious the seeds are simply wonderful eaten by the spoonful. No eating with a pin as in childhood .One very important point .This fabulous fruit has two sorts , sweet or sour . A question of personal taste , but I prefer the sweet . Beware when deseeding as the juice stains. Tricky as they are they're worth it and, as with all things, practice makes perfect.

When Every Day Is Christmas.

Presents are all year round joys to my way of thinking . I see an item, think of a friend , buy and send . No waiting for December or that one day called a birthday .
Today it was my turn [well almost ]. In the post an invitation to a spectacular Fur Fashion Show on Friday evening ! Yes I accepted . Then came a call from Potsdam to inform me that my sensational lingerie orders had arrived .This and so much more have made today special . Life is lovely . The above coats are about to be reunited with yours truly.Hope your day was as good .

One Freudian Way To Start The Day .

To start the day this way is pretty good.[ok,I'm aware of better ways] However ,finding good bacon hasn't been easy .On a scale of 1-10 this ranked 7 . Still couldn't get it super crispy . The fried egg was an additional tasty decadence. It was a 'must have' in my Freudian Fry creation . Just look and mmmmm.
The weather is rather cold , very sunny and with this 'fuel' intake who knows what can be achieved ?
ps )I think what's really needed is a personal bacon sarnie maker . Applications in writing . Must have GBCFV honours . Salary open to negotiation .

Take Three Ladies !

My camera is always at the ready so late this afternoon I made these shots . Three totally different outfits and the same number of ladies . Yes, you've guessed I called in at my favourite shop . The costume is a very small size with a mini skirt. Swimming and cycling havíng made the wearing of such very much an option . With my long black boots this feels great . The photograph doesn't do justice to the young lady in the evening outfit . She looked a million euro ! As for the fur ..looks fabulous on another foxy lady and yes ,she wore it to go home on her bicycle .
As the words of the song go :-
'I enjoy being a girl ' and so it seems do others !

TransVixed .

Last Saturday on my way out I saw the most beautiful sight . A flock of geese flying low in characteristic V formation. The sun had set thus they appeared as black silhouettes against the early night sky.Their cries had me spellbound , so much so that the chance to take a photo was lost.I was,(deliberate error) 'Transvixed.'
On a SW route to Africa and warmer climes they knew Winter is almost here and no amount of denial can alter it . Next week I'll call the furrier and request my coats from storage . Today in brilliant sunshine and low temperatures I went out on my bike wearing my little fur jacket, mid calf skirt and boots . Hardly trekking gear but fine for the shops etc . Very warm too . Here you see me at Theodor Heuss Platz . The second shot is of Marc. A fun American who is studying here,we got talking outside the store. He took my photo and will be adding to his web entry. Hence I'm doing like wise .Between us we covered so many topics from ,no smoking to GW Bush .. oh the list was endless.
ps) wonder where those geese are now ?

Sunday's Vix is Rosy Cheeked,

A very cold day, with bitter winds yet blinding sun.Ideal for getting in shape .
Rode to Alt Kladow and then took the ferry . Lots of sailing today. From Wannsee to Potsdam, via the Gleinicker Bridge. A very well known spot for exchanging spies during the cold war,it was closed to all but military and diplomatic after the construction of the Berlin wall. Hence it was fun standing at the half way mark. Looking back from the Potsdam end there's a superb view. Later ,fuel intake with a difference. Beef soup cooked with cream and cheese. It put more than a tiger in this Vixen's tank.
A trek of 53km .But for those ghastly head winds would have done more .
[No need for blusher on a day like today]
