Support Registered European Taxi Drivers

I caught the tail end and am glad I managed it .Basically European , registered taxi drivers who know their job, believe me I've seen what they have to learn ... are under threat from an IT firm based in US  (where else ) This company has designed an App which by passes the system here ... Today Taxi drivers in Berlin , London and Paris  united in a show of solidarity and I for one support them .
They do a great job , and not for a fortune, are extremely honest and abide by the laws . Twice I have come across , none registered and have left the cab at my request .  The best tariff is that where a driver knows his stuff and takes you from A to B in the quickest time . He needs to know a city for this .
Also one who takes you irrespective of how short your journey is ... Good luck to all the men and women who put on a grand, united parade today . May we all unite and support them .
* seems a lot of support is with the men and women who drive a taxi here .Odd thing is the comments I've had on my YT upload are not showing ..Is this yet another Ap .Little would surprise me.

A Flying Visit To Paris ?

Paris and Berlin. Two exciting cities and today my 'journey' there was made possible thanks to the BVG UBahn and Galeries Lafayette, Friedrichstraße 76-78.
This French department store exudes all things French.  Fashion, food, decor, the lot.
A wonderful time was had at the Lancombe counter where I made some purchases. Unusual eye shadow palettes (limited editions) and a blusher. Then a look at the new autumn season footwear, emphasis being on boots. Finally a meal at the grill bar. The huge  burger was freshly made with a topping of onions plus Roquefort cheese and served with a very generous portion of french fries.
Lafayette makes a pleasant change and a chance to 'almost' be on the Boulevard Haussman Paris. What you might call 'a flying visit'.

Paris In The Winter

The songwriters never took into account the fact that Paris is not used to snow and thus as soon as a cm falls the city goes into shock .Streets are not swept , no services for clearing runways exist  on a Sunday. Astonishing. However after an age I did arrive. The weather was wet, chilly but fun and maybe this odd mix gave more 'mood' , to photographs. I met many fascinating people, not all shown in this film. Enjoyed the French cinema, Japanese cinema and a classical concert . Miles were walked hence  at Terminal 2F CDG to relax prior to return trip was a must. Flights were functioning, yes it had been a great break but an even bigger pleasure to return to Berlin .
